In this webinar Dr Altman will consider the psychic impact on children and adolescents of ethnocentrism, prejudice, and violence. Young
people are aware of these destructive aspects of the social world, yet their education at home and at school focuses on the value of kindness and compassion. How are they not to conclude that the adult world is characterized by denial and hypocrisy. How can we, parents, educators, and psychotherapists acknowledge pervasive evil in the world in an age appropriate way, while also acknowledging the presence of love all around.
